Dr Michael, Antony Louis Rex is a consultant Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon working at The American Hospital Dubai. He has trained in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery in UK and worked at the Sheffield Children’s Hospital and Sheffield Teaching Hospital for 10 years before moving to UAE and worked at the Neurospinal Hospital for 4 years. He founded the Emirates Scoliosis club which has gained interest and expanded membership. His qualifications are MBBS, DNB Orthopaedics, FRCS surgery, M.Med.Sci. Trauma (UK), FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics, National Spine Fellowship from Leeds, UK and CCT-UK.
His practice is complex spine surgery including scoliosis whilst remaining passionate about conservative management with bracing, physical therapy etc. He is a member of the Emirates Medical Association, British Scoliosis Association, AOSpine international, and Emirates Orthopedic Association.
